This week had been a real busy and tiring week. So many experiments to do at work. Never ending experiments.

Waited for a day after the job training on Monday but did not get any news from the company, so I called the company today to ask whether they still want me to go to work this Saturday. Luckily I made the call, the lady was impressed by my action. But she said this Saturday is not going to be busy and so she did not need my help. She said she will call me next week to tell me whether they need me to go and help.

I went to the job training as mentioned on last Saturday 23 October. I received a phone call this morning and the lady who interviewed me told me to come to the training this evening at 6:45pm.

I arrived at around 6:50pm. The technician who supposed to train us was on his way to the lab. The boss (well I guess he is the boss) was demonstrating different techniques to the new colleague, and he asked me to join them while waiting for the technician to come. He was doing several tests at the same time, I did not ask questions, I just stood aside and observed.

Finally the technician arrived and the bosses went home, so there was only me, the new colleague, and the technician. I thought the word "training " meant that the technician would show us some basic techniques, but I was wrong. We sat in the conference room for two hours listened to him talking about safety, about what is really a diagnostic lab, how important a lab technician is. He then talked about the different tests that are provided by this lab. He kept asking questions like if you see xxx increase what does that tell you. I forgot all the stuff I learnt from my 1st degree. I can barely answered some of the questions. I know he wanted us to understand that we need to know what things mean and how things work and why.

It was 9:30pm when it finished. The new colleague took a bus to HKU. Me and the technician took the MTR. But we were on the different line so we politely said goodbye and went to our cart.

Tired. Sleepy.
Went to have a late dinner with Mr B in a nearby restaurant near where we live.
